Siemens, a global leader in electronics and electrical equipment, invested 70 million euros in the construction of (SCS), a modern office complex of four buildings centrally located in Yangpu district. The new building has a gross floor area of some 35,000 square metres and gathers in one place over 2000 local management and administration units, as well as Marketing, Research and Development, Services and Training which were spread throughout the city before. Siemens installed a Datwyler cabling system with Category 7 cables and 6350 connections as well as a 10-gigabit fibre optic solution in the SCS in 2010.
