New patient monitoring system at the Zurich University Hospital

The University Hospital in Zurich uses a state-of-the-art network-compatible patient monitoring system with mobile panels in its intensive care since 2008. The smooth transmission of monitoring data is guaranteed by a high-performance Datwyler communications network. Jaisli Xamax installed some 25 kilometres of type CU 7702 4P copper data cable and 500 type MS 1/8 data outlets to provide the University Hospital with a failsafe seperate cabling infrastructure. The project was undertaken step by step and ran for almost two years to ensure that the hospital remains fully operational. Therefore it was particularly advantageous that the cables feature a high mechanical stability and the modules provide quick and easy termination.
