Lift cables for the new World Trade Center

Work on the towers of the new World Trade Center is progressing rapidly. 7 WTC, as it is known, was opened in 2006 as the first certified "green" building in New York. All the other five skyscrapers, including the Freedom Tower, have been under construction since summer 2010. Datwyler has been commissioned by two of the world’s leading lift manufacturers - Schindler and ThyssenKrupp - to supply large quantities of flat lift cable by the end of 2012 for the construction of the lift installations in the Freedom Tower as well as for around 40 installations in Tower 4.
