High-performance network for the “Pearl Gateway”

In the Abraj Quarter, currently being created on the approach to the i island known as “The Pearl”, large numbers of buildings are being cabled with a project-specific solution from Datwyler. The project encompasses high-rise buildings numbers 3 to 6, each of 42 storeys, together with 30 villas, 130 townhouses and around 2500 parking spaces on a usable floor space of 60,000 square metres.
The end-to-end system solution comprises 500 kilometres of copper data cable, 28,000 Category 6 RJ45 modules as well as 18,000 data outlets. The fibre optic backbone encompasses 125 kilometres of single-mode cable, patch panels, patch cables and accessories. As well as this there are 1500 slimline wall cabinets and over 100 server racks.
