Datwyler Cables is becoming Datwyler IT Infra
New affix to the company name signifies changes in strategy and business model

On 8 October 2020 Dätwyler Cables GmbH changed its company name. Dätwyler Cables GmbH became Dätwyler IT Infra GmbH. “We can provide more than cabling systems, and that should also be reflected in our company name,” was how Ralf Klotzbücher, Vice President Sales & Marketing Europe of Datwyler IT Infra, explained the decision. The change of affix to “IT Infra” will be carried out worldwide at all the sites of what was formerly Datwyler Cabling Solutions.
For more than 100 years Datwyler has been a leading innovator and manufacturer of cabling systems. Today a think tank for IT infrastructures, the globally operating company also provides software solutions and services. With comprehensive reliable one-stop package solutions Datwyler is creating the backbone for real-time communication between people, machines and organisations, and is laying the groundwork for society’s digital future.
The addition of “IT Infra” to the name indicates the transformation which Datwyler has been implementing for some years: from supplier of cables and system solutions to provider of IT infrastructure solutions for data centres, fibre networks and intelligent buildings (data, safety, elevators, escalators) including software and services.
As the equivalent of a professional partner and consultant, Datwyler evaluates, develops and implements the IT infrastructure of organisations on their way to successful digitisation.
