On 1 September 2020 Datwyler (Thelma) Cables+Systems changed its company name. Datwyler (Thelma) Cables+Systems Pte Ltd became Datwyler IT Infra Pte. Ltd. “We can provide more than cabling systems, and that should also be reflected in our company name,” was how Eythan Lim, Managing Director Asia-Pacific of Datwyler IT Infra, explained the decision. The change of affix to “IT Infra” will be carried out worldwide at all the sites of Datwyler Cabling Solutions.

For more than 100 years Datwyler has been a leading innovator and manufacturer of cabling systems. Today a think tank for IT infrastructures, the globally operating company also provides software solutions and services. With comprehensive reliable one-stop package solutions Datwyler is creating the backbone for real-time communication between people, machines and organisations, and is laying the groundwork for society’s digital future.

The addition of “IT Infra” to the name indicates the transformation which Datwyler has been implementing for some years: from supplier of cables and system solutions to provider of IT infrastructure solutions for data centres, fibre networks and intelligent buildings (data, safety, elevators, escalators) including software and services.

As the equivalent of a professional partner and consultant, Datwyler evaluates, develops and implements the IT infrastructure of organisations on their way to successful digitisation. This gives customers easy access to cutting-edge technology and a solution which is perfectly tailored to their particular requirements, and which also responds flexibly to the strong dynamic of future technological demands. Datwyler increases added value for its customers, at the same time reducing both the overall cost and complexity of their IT infrastructure. Datwyler likewise acts as a “trusted advisor” in the continuing development of customers’ business models.
