There is a new photovoltaic system currently being used at the Datwyler IT Infra headquarters in Altdorf. The facade system has an output of 138 kilowatt peak (kWp) and should produce up to 82,000 kilowatt hours of energy per annum, 100 percent of which will be used by Datwyler itself.

“It’s the largest facade system that we have installed to date and one of the largest systems in the canton of Uri,” explains Ronny Arnold, Head of Marketing/Communication at energieUri.

For Datwyler IT Infra, the new “facade cladding” is an important step towards achieving its self-imposed sustainability targets: to achieve CO2 neutrality by the year 2030. The integrated photovoltaic system means that the company is also clearly committing to the Altdorf site and enhancing its long-term significance and sustainability through this investment.
