Driving digitisation in Spain
18 February 2025

Datwyler IT Infra Spain, S.L. recently joined the Asociación Española de Data Centers (SpainDC), the leading data centre association in Spain. This step confirms Datwyler’s commitment to promoting sustainable IT infrastructure and being actively involved in shaping digitisation in Spain.
SpainDC brings together not just data centre operators but also major suppliers of products and solutions in this field – and describes itself as forming the foundation of the digital economy in Spain. Its declared aim is to increase the sector’s growth and represent its interests in respect of government, media and community.
Datwyler has long-standing expertise in assessing, developing and implementing future-proof IT infrastructures. “Only with sustainable IT solutions can companies overcome the challenges of digitisation”, explains João Marques of Datwyler IT Infra in Spain. “Our aim is to support organisations in optimising their IT infrastructure, increasing their added value while reducing costs and complexity.”
As an international company, Datwyler is now actively engaged in many national industry organisations in the field of data centres, for instance the German DataCenter Association (GDA), the Austrian Data Center Association (ADCA) and the Italian Datacenter Association (IDA). “Our involvement in these associations enables us to promote the development of sustainable standards while addressing the specific needs of our customers in the particular countries” explains João Marques.
