Orientation in uncertain times
A statement by Adrian Bolliger, CEO of Datwyler IT Infra
14 de agosto de 2025

The world is changing fast. Political and economic uncertainties, technological transformation, environmental disasters and social tensions – the challenges confronting companies today are many.
In view of these developments, Adrian Bolliger, CEO of Datwyler IT Infra, sees the companies, and especially their management, as having a duty: “In times like these it’s no longer enough to make decisions with short-term results,” he explains in the editorial to the latest issue of our customer magazine. “In uncertain times leadership requires courage, vision and a definite ability to show the way.” For him, this is primarily about responsibility, “responsibility towards employees, customers, partners and society.”
His statement remains personal. A wagging finger isn’t his thing. But he stands up for his convictions emphatically: “In a world characterised by fast information and constant change, the ability to send clear messages will be a key skill,” says Adrian Bolliger.
In his view, it is vital for companies to remain flexible and continuously adapt their strategies to new circumstances. However, they should not lose sight of their long-term goals. “Even in difficult times, companies have to maintain or develop their vision and their values so that they can survive the storm and lay down the tracks for a successful future.” Empathy towards employees should not be neglected, he added, because it helps “create the security needed for creative ideas and successful problem solving.”
