HDB modernisation projects: 28th, 29th and 30th term

Since the 1990s the Housing & Development Board (HDB) has increasingly been concentrating on modernising existing flats in older properties and installing new facilities, for example elevators which stop at each floor. The agency awards the contracts for this to various lift manufacturers. Hitachi Elevator and Mitsubishi Elevator have entrusted Datwyler with producing and delivering the travelling cables for their 28th, 29th and 30th term HDB projects. There are altogether around 300 elevators per term.
