“Smart Factory” showcase
Using AI, IoT and 5G in production

Together with Fujitsu we are developing a showcase to evaluate the use of AI, IoT and 5G in the factories of tomorrow at our Hattersheim site, which is also our European logistics hub. The plan includes a private 5G network as well.
In future the measurement data of the machinery will be analysed and will provide information on utilisation rate and probability of failure. This information will allow the more efficient planning of preventative maintenance, which in turn will have a positive effect on the total cost of ownership (TCO).
