Interview with Thorsten Henning on cybersecurity
24 de junio de 2025

“Attacks have become more professional and more automated”, warns Thorsten Henning, Regional Director Pre-Sales and Business Development DACH at Fortinet. He explains that ransomware and targeted attacks on critical infrastructure are especially on the rise; hackers are using AI more and more to find weaknesses more quickly. “So, companies urgently need a proactive security strategy, or else run the risk of being taken by surprise and unprepared.”
In an interview in our customer magazine “Panorama", he gives affected companies valuable advice on how they can better protect themselves. “A strong IT security strategy needs three things: automated threat identification, zero trust principles and regular training for employees”, recommends the Fortinet expert. “It needs clear security guidelines, regular audits and the right mindset within the company. If security is seen only as an IT problem it often falls by the wayside. It has to be part of the company culture.”
Security solutions developed jointly by Datwyler and Fortinet offer many advantages to the end user: “The combination of secure networks and secure IT infrastructure on the one hand and first class cybersecurity on the other, makes companies more resilient. They get solutions that can not only respond with protection but also proactively prevent attacks. This saves time, costs and especially nerves”, says Henning.
