Close partnership with Marathon
Datwyler IT Infra has been present on the Mexican market for many years. The basis for this is its close partnership with the Marathon Group from Puebla. With its great potential, the Mexican market is a central element of Datwyler IT Infra’s growth strategy.

At the end of September 2024, a delegation from Datwyler IT Infra was on site, including CEO Adrian Bolliger and CFO Remo Bütikofer. Together with Kurt Infeld, Vice President Global Strategy, and Enrique Lampatzer, Head of Sales Americas, they met with regional system integrators and visited the Audi plant in San José Chiapa (see image above) – thereby sending a clear signal of Datwyler’s commitment.

For Marathon and its CEO Janitzio Badillo, growth comes first. Founded in 1990, the Marathon Group now has more than 100 employees. With warehouses at five locations, the company ensures delivery capability. Marathon will soon move into new offices in Puebla, and the storage capacities at the current location will also be expanded.

The basis of modern, automated production
The meetings with the system integrators confirmed the interest in Datwyler’s products and solutions. What is particularly in demand is high-performance structured cabling in copper and fibre optic technology.

The visit to the Audi factory made it clear how important such a solution is in modern, automated production facilities. The continuity of production can only be ensured through a high-quality, high-performance IT and OT infrastructure.

Focus on new business contacts
During a visit to the Swiss Business Hub in Mexico City, important future topics were on the agenda. Director Rubén Araiza explained the opportunities for collaboration and the various events that his organisation offers as a platform for establishing new business contacts.

New Head of Sales Americas
With the engagement of Enrique Lampatzer, Datwyler IT Infra was also able to gain an experienced and long-standing expert in its IT and OT infrastructure solutions as Head of Sales Americas. From now on, Lampatzer will not only look after the existing customers, but will also significantly advance Datwyler’s market presence and develop new projects. He is also introducing a new partner program for system integrators in order to deepen cooperation with selected companies.
