To meet Saudi Arabia’s growing demand for electrical power, power plants are under construction in every province of the country. In 2008, SAS Engineering, a Saudi Arabian partner of Datwyler, was contracted for the planning, delivery, installation and validation of the systems for security, fire safety and fire suppression at the new Al Qurayyah power plant near Dammam on the east coast. Amongst the solutions delivered by Datwyler are fibre optic cables and tested safety cables.
