Datwyler IT Infra shows significant improvement

Dätwyler IT Infra AG, a private subsidiary of Pema Holding AG, has made an impressive recovery from the negative impact of the pandemic. Compared to the difficult previous year the company increased turnover by 19.1% to CHF 253.0 million in 2021 (previous year: CHF 212.4 million), and thus is again significantly above the pre-pandemic level. Adjusted for the positive effects of currencies and the price of copper, organic growth amounted to 10.9%. Profitability also improved considerably, thanks to the efficient utilisation of production facilities and strict cost management.

Despite bottlenecks in the supply chains Datwyler IT Infra generated sales growth in all the markets it serves – with above-average growth in the Arab countries and a record turnover in Germany. The other European countries, China and South East Asia posted average company growth.

For several years now Datwyler IT Infra has been offering its customers comprehensive IT infrastructures from a single source. The transformation from cable manufacturer to provider of IT infrastructure solutions for data centres, fibre optic networks and intelligent buildings (data technology, security, elevators, escalators) including software and services also continued to make headway in 2021. New reference projects for airports and universities in Asia, for hotels and a power supply in the Middle East and for hospitals in Europe testify to the international competitiveness of Datwyler IT Infra. In all these projects the IT infrastructure solutions provided are making an important contribution to smooth operation and to the security of innumerable people. Worldwide Datwyler IT Infra employs a workforce of 950, around 300 of whom work in Altdorf, Switzerland.
