Positive feedback

Three trade fairs, three locations: Datwyler was happy with the feedback from its trade fair participation. In our review you can find out more about the exciting highlights at Data Centre World in Frankfurt, ANGA COM in Cologne and GITEX AFRICA, which was held in Marrakech.

Data Centre World 
Data Centre World in Frankfurt, which attracts over 10,000 visitors, is considered to be the largest data centre trade fair in Central Europe and the DACH region. Datwyler was also pleased at the many industry visitors to the stand and the lively interest shown in the company’s solutions, products and services.

The particular highlights on the stand were a showcase for digital construction site management and a “hands on” Micro Data Centre. The latter showed the visitors the advantages of real-time data processing at the edge. A popcorn machine, which was monitored by AI and provided the best popcorn at the fair, also proved very popular.

ANGA COM
In the middle of May around 22,000 visitors from over 80 countries as well as 470 national and international exhibitors, including Datwyler, attended ANGA COM, the leading trade convention for broadband, television and online. In particular the fair registered a significant growth of interest in fibre optics. “The fibre optic boom continues unabated (…). In Germany over the next few years 50 billion euros are available for the creation of 30 million fibre optic connections,” concluded Dr. Peter Charissé, Managing Director of ANGA COM.

The Datwyler stand gave the specialist audience the opportunity of catching up on the commonest types of fibre optic cable and components needed for broadband projects. Another highlight was the Micro Data Centre for real-time data processing at the edge. This showed that a data centre can also provide the requisite computing power, rapid response times and high bandwidths when it is compact and space-saving.

GITEX AFRICA 
GITEX AFRICA is the continent’s biggest and most influential technology event, bringing together technology leaders, innovators and decision makers, and supporting organisations in successfully expanding their business.

Between May 31st and June 2nd Datwyler Middle East also took the opportunity of presenting the latest technologies and data centre trends. A Smart Modular Data Centre was demonstrated on the stand and the Datwyler team provided information on its Smart Service Monitoring Platform. Datwyler also introduced the interested specialist audience to its Metaverse-as-a-Service platform (MaaS) for the first time. This uses metaverse technology to create digital experiences in a virtual 3-D world with Datwyler’s data centre solutions, and to interact with them in real time.
